The Arctic is one of the most fragile ecosystems on Earth, and it is undergoing rapid changes. Rising global temperatures are causing ice to melt at an alarming rate, threatening the survival of many species. Polar bears, for example, rely on sea ice to hunt seals. As the ice disappears earlier each year, it becomes harder for them to find enough food, leading to population declines. Similarly, walruses and seals also depend on the ice for resting and breeding, and their habitats are shrinking.
